River Pools Install Info

Hey Everyone! I get many calls about our pool, so below is some info about our River Pools install. We began on Aug 31, 2020 and it ended on Oct 7, 2020. The plan:       How it started: How it ended: The pool, concrete around the pool, retaining wall, and retaining wall lights, and equipment were done by River Pools.  The equipment (left to right) is pump, filter (Pleatco PAP150 ~$70), chlorine ( Pool Frog XL Pro , chlorine pack ~$60) I currently do not use the mineral pack), UV light filter, electrical panel, and 200,000 BTU gas heater.  The heater heats at 3.5 - 4 °  and hour. The cost is about $20-40 per day depending on how cold and how long you run it.  Here are some pics after landscaping. Landscaping done by Backyard Magicians .  The pool is the I30 and holds 7,947 gallons. We have the LED lights and two bubblers on the tanning ledge. I do not have the app/wifi panel controls. During construction we did not hit rock so no extra ch...

Patio Addition - Worth the $$

We recently added some patio space around our pool This was for two reasons.

  1. We wanted more space for patio furniture.
  2. We wanted it to be easier to maintain.
Additional patio furniture was needed as we only had two chaise lounges. They are great, but with a family of 4, more was needed.

What was a great bonus, was the ability to have a set of lounges that capture the morning sun and a set that captures the afternoon sun. Not having to move these heavy loungers around was key! One of my favorite springtime activities is jumping into a 50 ° F pool then getting warmed up by the spring sun!

Second, cutting down on the grass around the pool helped keep grass out of it when mowing. I was surprised how much less grass gets in the pool after I mow. Some still gets in, but it's less and it's worth it to us to have natural grass around the pool.

As you can see in the picture above, we were also able to encompass the drains in concrete too. This makes it easier to use as well.

The project wasn't cheap, especially with concrete prices rising, but well worth it. It's like we have a brand-new pool now!
